Huntsville Animal Services is waiving adoption fees until August 6

Published on July 26, 2022

Superheroes deserve super affordable prices! Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) continues to need adopters as the Adoption League of Heroes campaign continues and calls on the public to take advantage of waived adoption fees through Saturday August 6th.

“This time of year is particularly difficult for shelters, and our establishment is no exception,” said HAS director Dr Karen Sheppard. “The summer months bring tons of kittens, adult cats, barn cats, puppies and dogs of all breeds and ages. We need people to come in and adopt and give these animals a second chance. to live a good life in permanent homes.

Adoption fees will be waived for most adult animals, although exclusions apply.

All adoptable pets are vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and come with a municipal license and a complimentary bag of pet food. Those unable to adopt are asked to consider fostering an animal through the shelter‘s foster program.

“Adoption and promotion really saves lives, and it makes you a superhero in our community,” Sheppard said.
