The Pet Insurance Australia Companion Animal Rescue Awards have announced the FINALISTS 2022spotlighting the rescue groups, animal shelters and pet welfare organizations that continue to save thousands of animal lives during these trying times when so many “pandemic pets” are being abandoned.
Salvage prices is Australia’s first and only national awards program that celebrates and recognizes achievement in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of companion animals. This is a specific purpose program run by Pets4Life, an independent educational resource for cat and dog sitters and provider of professional non-strength dog training services.
“The Rescue Awards are the national platform for showcasing achievements in the rescue, housing, rehoming and welfare of companion animals,” said Cathy Beer, Founder of the Rescue Awards and rescue advocate at Pets4Life.
“The finalists have demonstrated their tireless efforts to not only bring pets home, but also to work with their community to keep people and their pets together.”
In its fifth year, the Rescue Awards attracted many diverse nominations from across the country in 10 categories. Like the past four years, the Volunteer of the year category received the highest number of applications.
The surprise this year is the significant increase in applications from local government councils for the award category, Australian Companion Animal Welfare Foundation Award for Advice.
“Pets are more than cats and dogs,” Beer said.
“It’s great to see rabbits, rats and a pony among our amazing finalists across the country in the Ivory Coat People’s Rescue Story and Ivory Coat Foster Carer Story award categories.
This year, Pet insurance in Australia is once again the Platinum Rescue Hero and Naming Partner.
